In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR ), we ask you to consent to the processing of your personal data on the website https://www.thegrid.sk/. The purpose of the GDPR is to provide a higher level of protection for your personal data and to give you an overview of how it is processed and your rights.

Your personal data is processed exclusively in accordance with applicable legislation. We process personal data only with the client’s consent. It is entirely up to the client to decide whether or not to give their consent to the extent proposed by us. Giving consent is entirely voluntary, and consent once given may be withdrawn at any time. We are bound by the scope of the consent given and fully respect it.

1. Purpose of processing

We will process your personal data for the purpose of fulfilling your orders, providing the services you have ordered, invoicing, or delivering orders to your contact address.

We process the following customer data, which is necessary for the fulfilment of orders and which you provide to us knowingly:

3. Processing period

Your personal data will be securely stored, collected, processed and archived for the purpose of maintaining accounting records and documents for a period of 10 years (pursuant to Section 431/2002 of the Accounting Act, as amended) from the date of the last order placed.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to tailor the content of our website to your preferences. Cookies are small data files that our website stores in your web browser when you visit it. If you do not agree to the use of cookies, please set your own rules for the use of cookies in the web browser on your device. If you disable the use of cookies, the functionality of the website may be limited.

These are conversion or pixel tags, or small graphic images, which may be embedded in our website’s code and which enable the identification of users for the purposes of recording their behaviour and measuring traffic.

6. Advertising and promotional services

On the website, in addition to processing orders, we use your contact details to send advertising or commercial communications. This involves the processing of the following data:

The data of users who have subscribed to the newsletter (the so-called Newsletter) are sent and processed by a third party outside the EU – the Rocket Science Group, which operates the Mailchimp service and complies with the principles of the European General Data Protection Regulation. These are available at mailchimp.com

7. Right of access to data

Website users have the right to obtain information about the purpose and scope of the processing of their personal data.

8. Right to data portability

The controller is obliged to provide the data subject with all information processed about them in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. By exercising this right, the user gains control over their personal data and also has the option to transfer it in this format to another controller.

9. Right to rectification

The user has the right to request the data controller to rectify the data if they suspect that the stored data is incorrect.

10. Right to restriction of processing

The user has the right to request that the controller restrict the processing of their personal data, or make selected personal data inaccessible, or temporarily remove published data.

11. Right to erasure

The user has the right to have their personal data erased without undue delay, provided that it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed and there is no longer any legal basis for its archiving. Upon a request for data erasure, all data will be irrevocably deleted and any related orders (if any) will be anonymised.

12. Right to be forgotten

The user has the right to have appropriate steps taken, including technical measures, to erase all references to their personal data and copies thereof, if the legal basis for their archiving has ceased to apply.

13. Right to object

The user has the right to object to the processing of personal data, or where they are unable to exercise the right to erasure.

14. Right to lodge a complaint

The user has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their personal data is in breach of the GDPR.

15. Recording of user requests

The website operator is obliged to record all user requests relating to the withdrawal, correction and erasure of their data.

16. Data protection

We have modern technical and security mechanisms in place to ensure the protection of processed data against unauthorised access or transfer, loss or destruction, or any other possible misuse.

If you do not provide your consent and personal data, we will not be able to provide you with any services under the European General Data Protection Regulation.
